It may sound sudden, but Ivy was released from the hospital today! It's been in the works for a couple weeks, but I didn't want to say anything until it was a sure thing. It's much sooner than we expected, but obviously for Ivy it's been far too long a wait. We'll be continuing therapy at home and she'll be going back to the hospital a few times a week for therapy there. She is very tired but happy about leaving the hospital after four months!

Oh, Ivy, I'm so happy for you and the rest of the Family! I know you will continue to get well and much faster now that you will be in your own home with all your critters as well as Melinda and your Dad helping you along.
This is the day we have all prayed for and this makes for a great Thanksgiving for me and I know it did for you all!
I don't know if you have seen the new program on Animal Planet,
"Whale Wars". It's a great real life account and everytime I watch it I think of you saying you wanted to go out in a GreenPeace ship and protect the whales against the Japanese Whalers.
This is what the "Sea Shepards" are doing. They are on a big ship that was christened the "Steve Erwin", by Steve's Widow.
The Sea Shepards are a group who's founder was formerly with GreenPeace but was asked to leave because they thought he was too radical in his methods. The Sea Shepards go out in the Anactic sea and chase the Japanese whaling ships and try to disable them. They risk their lives for what they believe in, "Saving whales".
I really admire them for getting out there and doing what they believe in.
Just spend you energy getting well for now and know we love you very much!
